4. Objects of the University.
- The objects of the University shall be to disseminate and advance knowledge by teaching, research and training in various sphere of culture; to promote the ethnic studies that bears upon the living conditions of the communities of South-East Asia; to serve as a centre for fostering co-operation and exchange of ideas among the academic and research communities of other Institutions and Universities of repute in India and abroad; to provide facilities and opportunities for graduate, post graduate, doctorate, post doctorate education in various aspect of culture; and paying special attention to the promotion and preservation of the rich heritage of Manipuri Culture.
