259. Public markets.
- All markets which are [acquired] [This word was inserted by section 109 of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 1930 (Tamil Nadu Act of 1930).], constructed, repaired or maintained out of the municipal fund shall be deemed to be public markets [; and such markets shall be open to persons of whatever caste or creed.] [A semi colon was substituted for the full stop at the end of the original section and these words were added by section 4 of the Madras District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 1939 (Madras Act XVII of 1929).]
