Section 56 in Rajasthan Tenancy (Government) Rules, 1955
56. Checking of list by Collector.
- The Collector shall check the lists by examining the record relating to the realisation of rents maintained by the land-holder or the Patwari, or by any other suitable method, and shall satisfy himself that the amount claimed is due and may make such modifications in the lists as appear to be necessary. The Collector shall also see that the claim on account of interest in column 5 has been correctly calculated at the rate prescribed by the Act, (one anna per rupee per annum simple interest). After checking the entries in columns 3-6 and making such alterations in them as may be necessary, the Collector shall enter in column 7 the amount passed by him for realisation.
