Section 27(1) in The United Provinces Private Forests Act, 1948
(1)At the time of issuing a notification under Section 17 or at any time thereafter, the State Government may make an order prohibiting, until the date of the publication of a notification under Section 32, and subject to such conditions and exceptions as may be specified in the order, the cutting, collection and removal of any trees, or any class of trees, in the area in respect of which such notification is issued and 'effect shall be given to such order notwithstanding anything contained in any contract, grant or record-of-rights to the contrary :Provided that the order shall not apply to an area the proposal to constitute which as a vested forest is dropped.
