Section 17(2) in Kerala Land Reforms (Tenancy) Rules, 1970
(2)The date fixed in a notice under sub-rule (1) tor appearance of the respondent shall be so fixed by the Land Tribunal as to allow a period of not less than seven days between the date of service of the notice and the date fixed tor appearance and if the date fixed for appearance is within a period of seven days from the date of service of the notice, the Land Tribunal shall adjourn the hearing of the application to a day beyond seven days from the date originally fixed for hearing and direct the issue of fresh notice to the respondent.
