5. Qualifications.

- The eligibility / qualification criteria for appointment to the different categories as follows:-

2. JuniorTechnical Officer (i) By Directrecruitment(ii) By promotion Must possess aminimum qualification of Diploma in Civil/Mechanical /Electrical Engineering.For promotion fromTechnical Assistant with minimum qualification of Diploma inEngineering with (3) years of regular service in the said cadre.ORMust possess a Trade Certificate in Draughtsman(Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) course of an I.T.I recognizedby Government of Telangana and completes (6) years of regularservice in the said cadre.
3. TechnicalAssistant (i) By Direct recruitment/Appointment bytransfer Must possess a minimum qualification of TradeCertificate in Draughtsman (Civil/ Mechanical / Electrical)course of an I.T.I recognized by Government of Telanana.
Note:- (a) The Diploma in Engineering of above mentioned disciplines should be awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent qualification recognized by the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana State.
(b)The Bachelor's degree in Engineering of above mentioned disciplines should be from a University in India established or incorporated under a Central Act or State Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission/ All India Council for Technical Education or AMIE.
(c)The number of posts to be recruited in each discipline will be decided at the time of recruitment by the department based on the requirement / necessity.
