Section 46(2) in The Orissa Boiler Operation Engineers' Rules, 2000
(2)If on enquiry the Member-Secretary is satisfied that any statement made by the applicant for the issue of a duplicate certificate is false he shall report the case to the Board at its next meeting and the Board may at its discretion cancel the certificate or permit the grant as aforesaid of a duplicate certificate either immediately or after such period not exceeding twelve months as the Board may think fit having regard to the circumstances of each case.
