(2)From the date on which this Act comes into force the Gauhati University shall cease to exercise its jurisdiction over all the colleges and institution affiliated to or recognized by it and lying within the to the area of the Bodoland Territorial Council and the Bodoland University shall exercise authority and jurisdiction over them from the aforesaid date, as if they were affiliated to, or recognized by the Bodoland University from the aforesaid date.
