Section 3 in The Lovely Professional University Act, 2005
3. Establishment of the University.
(1)There shall be established a University by the name of the Lovely Professional University in the State of Punjab.(2)The University shall be a body corporate by the name, specified in sub- section (1), and shall have perpetual succession and a common seal. It shall have the power to acquire, hold and dispose of property both movable and immovable and to make contract, and shall sue, and be sued by the said name.(3)The headquarters of the University shall be at Jalandhar-Ludhiana G.T. road, near Cheheru Railway Bridge, Phagwara, District Kapurthala.
