132. Fixing the hours of work in advance.
- The State or a Regional Transport Authority may require persons employing any person for the purpose of driving a transport vehicle, to make, to the satisfaction of the said authority, such time-table, schedule or regulation, as may be necessary, fixing before hand, the hours of work of the persons employed by him, and upon approval by such authority of any time-table, schedule or regulation as aforesaid, it shall be the record of the hours of work fixed for the persons concerned for the purpose of sub-section (3) and sub-section (4) of Section 91.Explanation. - (i) Any time spent by the driver of a vehicle on work other than driving in connection with the vehicle or with the load carried or to be carried in the vehicle including any time spent on the vehicle during a journey save as passenger in a public service vehicle shall not, and(ii)any time spent by, the driver of a vehicle on or near the vehicle when it is at rest, when he is at liberty to leave the vehicle for rest and refreshment although required to remain within sight of the vehicle shall be deemed to be an interval of rest for the purposes of clause (a) of sub-section (i) of Section 91.
