Section 1(2) in The Orissa Panchayat Samiti Act, 1959
(2)[ It shall extend to the whole of the State of Orissa :Provided that save as otherwise expressly contained in this Act nothing therein shall apply to any local area with a population of more than twenty thousand to which the provisions of the Orissa Municipal Act, 1950 (Orissa Act 23 of 1950) or to any area to which the provisions of the Cantonments Act, 1924, (2 of 1924) have been or may hereafter be extended] [Substituted vide Orissa Act No. 24 of 1961.].
