- When land is offered free by a zamindar or other individual for a police purpose, such as the construction of a new police-station, it may be accepted, provided that a deed of gift binding both the giver and his heirs, successors and assignees is executed. Such deed shall be drawn up by the Government Pleader. The grant may be conditional, that is, that the land is to be returned when no longer required by the Provincial Government for the purpose for which it is given. The Superintendent on accepting such offers shall have regard to all the circumstances existing in the locality at the time when the gift is made.
