Section 254(2) in The West Bengal Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989
(2)Rule 235 of these rules relating to the driver's seat shall apply to the goods vehicle not being a light motor vehicle :Provided that the State Government may, by order, exempt, subject to such conditions as may be specified in the order, any goods vehicle or class of goods vehicle from the provision of sub-rule (1) of rule 235.
