1. By this petition, the petitioner has put-forth prayer clause (B) and (C) as under:
"B. Issue writ of mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order or directions in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the Respondents to make necessary arrangements to complete the payment of crop insurance for Kharif 2020 within 15 days as per clause 11.2 of the Government Resolution dated 29 th June 2020, considering the 100% losses caused due to heavy rain falls and for that purpose issue necessary orders; C. Pending the hearing and fnal disposal of this Writ Petition direct the Respondent no.6 to deposit 100% secured amount in the bank accounts of the farmers for losses caused in Kharif 2020 and for that purpose issue necessary orders;"

The petitioner has identifed himself in paragraph no.2 which indicates that he claims to be a social worker and aims at creating social awareness amongst farmers and work for the upliftment 1/3 ::: Uploaded on - 05/10/2021 ::: Downloaded on - 15/10/2021 17:50:23 ::: 922-wp-7771-2020.odt of the farmers. This petition is not a PIL and neither, a request for treating this as a PIL, is made.
3. We fnd from the pleadings in the petition that there are several farmers who have sufered loss of agricultural yield and, therefore, they desire to avail of the crop insurance policy. By a Government Resolution dated 29.06.2020, the State of Maharashtra has decided to implement the Pradhan Mantri Peek Vima Yojna (PMFBY) Kharip Hangam 2020 and Rabi Hangam 2020-2021 for a further period of three years. This scheme is referred to by abbreviation as PMFBY. Vide this scheme, a Taluka level committee has been formed comprising of the following ofcers:

Considering the above, if the petitioner claims to be a coordinator of the farmers, the appropriate approach for the redressal of the grievances of the farmers in the light of their allegation of having 2/3 ::: Uploaded on - 05/10/2021 ::: Downloaded on - 15/10/2021 17:50:23 ::: 922-wp-7771-2020.odt lost their agricultural yields, is to approach the Taluka Committee since the petitioner appears to be representing the farmers from the Gevrai Taluka.
5. As such, this petition is disposed of.
6. We permit all the farmers, who claim to have sufered loss of agricultural yield for the reasons that would be covered by the PMFBY Scheme, to individually or collectively approach the Taluka level committee mentioned above and submit their representations with supporting documents. The said Committee shall ensure that the scheme as is provided for under the Government Resolution dated 29.06.2020, is implemented and the grievances of these farmers are redressed, as expeditiously as possible and in any case, on or before 31.01.2022, by processing their papers strictly in accordance with the scheme.
7. All those concerned with such grievances of the farmers under the PMFBY, are expected to render assistance to such farmers so as to ensure that the object for which the scheme has been introduced, is achieved.
