Section 46(1) in The Rajasthan Sales Tax Act, 1994
(1)When the ownership of the business of a dealer liable to pay tax is entirely transferred in any manner, any tax or other sum payable in respect of such business and remaining unpaid at the time of the transfer, shall be payable by the transferee, as if he were the dealer liable to pay tax or other sum; and for the liability to tax accruing from the date of such transfer, he shall within thirty days of the transfer apply for registration, unless he already holds a certificate of registration.Explanation.- "Transfer of entire ownership of business" means-(a)transfer of business assets, debits and credits and stocks in trade, if any; or(b)transfer of land, building and plant and machinery.
