Section 38(3)(c) in Tamil Nadu Village Panchayats (Receipts and Expenditure and Maintenance of the Accounts of Village Panchayats) Rules, 2000

(c)The approval of sanction to an estimate for any public work other than annual maintenance shall, unless such work has been commenced, cease to operate after a period of three years from the date from which it was accorded.
