Section 9(1) in The Indian Police Service (Appointment by Limited Competitive Examination) Regulations, 2011
(1)In pursuance of rule 7 of the Recruitment Rules, 15 per cent 7½ per cent and 27 per cent of the available vacancies shall be reserved for candidates who are members 'of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes respectively.
