Section 79(2)(a) in The Tamil Nadu Town Panchayats, Third Grade Municipalities, Municipalities and Corporations (Elections) Rules, 2006

(a)When an adjournment of the poll for the number of hours for which it was not held on the previous occasion is recommended under clause (a) of sub-rule (3) of rule 54, the electors who have already voted at the poll so adjourned shall not be allowed to vote again;
