These petitioners claim to have been appointed on the same date i.e. 25.08.2010 pursuant to a long litigation arising out of an industrial dispute and an Award passed in Reference Case No. 58/1992 by the Central Government Industrial Tribunal No. 1, Dhanbad. These petitioners have raised similar grievances in their individual writ petitions that in the respective departmental proceedings that have been initiated against them in respect of declaration of age, necessary documents were not being supplied and Inquiry Officer has refused to accept their request for cross-examination.

In the writ petitions (WPS No. 5084/2013 and 5099/2013), respondents have appeared and filed their counter affidavit and taken a common stand that the Inquiry Officer has simply asked the petitioners to approach the Management to procure such documents as may be required. Respondents have also stated that proceedings are being conducted in the proper manner by the Inquiry Officer.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners may be allowed to approach the Management before whom they have earlier made representation with the same request.

3. Be that as it may, petitioners appear to have approached this Court straightaway instead of exhausting their remedies available under the law by pursuing their representation before the Management. However, at this stage, this
