Section 5(1) in The Jammu And Kashmir (Prevention Of Unfair Means) Examinations Act, 1987
(1)If any person contravenes, or attempts to contravene or abets the contravention of, any of the provisions of this Act, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extent to two years or with fine which may extend to rupees two thousand or with both.
