Section 214(3)(a) in The Merchant Shipping Act, 1958

(a)The Director General shall send a certified copy of such of the returns received by him under sub-section (2) as relate to citizens of India, to such officer as may be specified in this behalf by the Central Government; and such officer shall cause the same to be preserved in such manner as may be specified in this behalf by the Central Government.
