Section 5 in The Orissa Panchayat Samiti Election Rules, 1991
5. Election symbol.
- The symbols to be used in the election of the Samiti by the candidates shall be notified by the [Commissioner] [Substituted vide O.G.E. No. 1264 dated 15.11.1995.] from time to time and the notification under this rule shall be published in the Orissa Gazette:Provided that such symbols shall not, however, include any symbol allotted to the political parties by the Election Commission of India.
