Section 40(3) in The Orissa Municipal Employees' Pension Rules, 1989

(3)The amount of monthly pension shall be at the rate as follows:

Average emolument	Amount of monthly pension
(a) Up to first Rs. 1,000	50% of average emolument
(b) Next rupees 500	45% of average emolument
(c) Balance	40% of average emolument
