Section 65(d) in The Tamil Nadu Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2006
(d)approaches to a hoist are provided with gates which are,-(i)gridded to maintain visibility;(ii)at least of two metres height; and(iii)equipped with a device which requires such gate to be closed before the platform of such hoist can leave the landing and prevents the gate from being opened unless such platform is at the landing;
