ORDER
Background
1. The Applicant, through his RTIapplication, wanted to be informed by the PIO, South East Railway, Bilaspur about the subject matter of a letter No. 350E/HOER/O(Policy) dated 27.02.2004 of Railway Board. He, in addition, also desired to have a copy of the said letter.
2. The CPIO, thorough his reply dated 06.07.2010, expressed his inability to furnish the above information to the Applicant as it was found to be unavailable in their records after a search. The Appellate Authority, on 28.07.2010, in response to Applicant's 1stappeal dated 27.07.2010, endorsed the CPIO's reply.
3. The Applicant, thereafter, filed the present petition in the Commission on 06.10.2010 requesting that the information be directed to be furnished to him.
Decision
3. During the hearing, the Respondents stated that they had made a diligent search to locate the above letter, but could not find it in their records and that, therefore, are unable to furnish the same to the Appellant.
4. In view of the above categorical statement of the Respondents, the present appeal cannot be allowed and thus is directed to be closed.
