(1)The Government may, in consultation with the Punjab and Haryana High Court, appoint one or more Judicial Magistrates of the First Class for the trial of offences against, -(a)this Act; and(b)the rules or the regulations made thereunder, and may prescribe the time and the place at which such Magistrate of Magistrates shall sit for the conduct of business.
