Section 77(2) in Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Elections) Rules, 1995
(2)When no nomination is presented within a reasonable time after the commencement of the meeting, the Returning Officer shall take necessary further action for the holding of a fresh meeting for the election in accordance with these rules. He shall also report the fact to the District Election Officer and the State Election Commission.
