Section 50(2) in The Orissa Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993
(2)The authority shall, upon receipt of application under Sub-rule (1) and on being satisfied regarding the genuineness of the loss or destruction of the original, issue a duplicate permit or part of permit, as the case may be, and to the extent that it is able to verify the facts may endorse thereon countersignature or other authority and intimate the fact to that authority.
