9. Appointment of the Planning Officer.
(1)The State Government shall appoint an officer of the Town Planning Department not below the rank of an Assistant Director of Town planning, to be the Planning Officer.(2)The Planning Officer shall report to the Commissioner, and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed.
