14. Resignation and Removal of President and Vice-President.
(1)The President or the Vice-President of Gaon Panchayat may resign his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Deputy Commissioner and to the President of the Gaon Panchayat, as the case may be.(2)Every resignation under sub-section (1) shall take effect on the expiry of fifteen days from the date of its receipt by the authority unless within this period of fifteen days he withdraws such resignation by writing under his hand addressed to the Deputy Commissioner in case of President and to the President of the Gaon Panchayat in respect of Vice-President.(3)Every President or Vice-President shall vacate the office if he ceases to be member of Gaon Panchayat.
