473. Power of Municipal Commissioner to remove patient to hospital in certain cases.
(1)If, in the opinion of the Municipal Commissioner, any person is suffering from a dangerous disease and is without proper lodging or accommodation or is lodged in such manner that he cannot be effectually isolated to prevent the spread of any infection, and the Municipal Commissioner considers that such person should be removed to a hospital or to a place at which patients suffering from such disease are received for medical treatment, he may direct or cause the removal of such person to such hospital or place :Provided that any cost incurred for such removal or for treatment of such person shall be borne by the CorporationProvided further that if such person is a female, she shall not be removed to such hospital or place if there is no accommodation there for females.(2)Every direction under sub-section (1) shall be obeyed by the person to whom such direction is given.
