Central Information Commission
Mr.B D Jha vs Ministry Of Science And Technology on 19 July, 2012
CENTRAL INFORMATION COMMISSION
Room No. 308, B-Wing, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi-110066
File No.CIC/LS/A/2011/003416
Appellant Shri B.D. Jha
Public Authority India Meteorological Department, Kolkata.
Date of hearing 19.07.2012
Date of decision 19.07.2012
Facts :-
Heard today dated 19.07.2012. Appellant not present. The Public Authority is represented by Shri S.K. Ray, Assistant Meteorologist Grade-I.
2. The appellant has filed a hand-written RTI application which runs into three fool- scape pages. The queries raised by him are about 50 in number. The first query is rather interesting. He has sought to know from the CPIO whether he was in occupation of a particular quarter in 1975 while he was posted at Gaya. Rest of the queries are of similar nature and need not be mentioned in this order. Despite the quaint queries raised by the appellant, it is noticed that the CPIO had provided him parawise information vide letter dated 24.5.2011. In the appeal memo filed before this Commission, the appellant has not adduced any valid grounds to challenge the CPIO's order. In my opinion, the appeal is misconceived. Dismissed.
