The relief sought in this writ petition is for direction to direct the first respondent to take steps in accordance with Section 14 of the Payment of Wages Act and ensure payment of wages to the members of the petitioner's union.
2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the third respondent / Management made a submission that the factory was closed for about two years and that is the reason why the management was unable to settle the payment to workman. However, now the factory started functioning and the salary till April 2018, has already been settled to the workman concerned and the learned counsel further undertakes that the further payment of salary will be settled without any further delay.
3. In view of the submission, this Court is of an opinion that no further adjudication needs to be undertaken at present in respect of the grounds raised in this writ petition.
4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
