Section 129 in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943

129. Co-operation with Excise officers. [§ 12, Act V, 1861].

(a)All ranks of the police shall render to and receive from all officers and men of the Excise Department full co-operation in the prevention and detection of offences under the Excise, Opium and like Acts. For the purpose of this regulation, co-operation shall be deemed to include the grant of facilities for the examination of documents and records, and for attendance at chaukidari parades and co-operation conferences or meetings of police officers.
(b)Copies of the preliminary reports of searches, arrests and seizures made by the police under the Bengal Excise Act, 1909, shall be sent to the Collector or the Excise officer in whose jurisdiction the searches, arrests or seizures arc made. The forms of such preliminary reports may be obtained from the Excise Department.
