Section 45 in Jammu and Kashmir Protection of Children from Sexual Violence Act, 2018
45. Free Medical treatment to victims.
(1)All hospitals, public or private, whether run by the Central Government, the State Government, local bodies or any other person, shall immediately, provide the first-aid or medical treatment, free of cost, to the victims of any offence covered under this Act and shall immediately inform the police of such incident.(2)Whoever being incharge of a hospital, public or private, whether run by the Central Government, the State Government, Local Bodies or any other person, contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1) of this Act, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine or with both.Explanation: - The expression "hospital" means the precincts of the hospital and includes the precincts of any institution for the reception and treatment of victims during convalescence or of victims requiring medical attention or rehabilitation or medical examination or pathological tests.
