44. Officers to be public servant.
- The officers and officials appointed under this Act while acting or purporting to act in pursuance of any of the provisions of the Act, shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Act 45 of 1860).
