Diet money to be paid to persons required to attend an inquiry shall include the travelling expenses, if any, which such persons may have to incur. These payments shall be made at such rates and in accordance with such principles as are laid down in the rules for the time being in force regulating such payments to witnesses in proceedings before a revenue officer held under the Madhya Pradesh Land Revenue Code, 1959.
