Section 81(1) in The Haryana Canal and Drainage Rules, 1976
(1)On publication of the scheme for drainage works, the Divisional Canal Officer shall publish a notice in the village affected thereby that the owners of lands chargeable in respect of the scheme should intimate to him, in writing, within a period of fifteen days of the date of such publication, their option with regard to the manner of payment of cost.
