(3)The State Government may, by notification, establish one or more outposts within the territorial jurisdiction of a Police Station specifying the territorial jurisdiction of such outpost :Provided that the State Government may, by notification, invest any outpost with such powers and responsibilities of a Police Station as it deems necessary :Provided further that existing Police Stations and outposts shall continue to be the Police Stations and outposts until they are altered or re-notified.
