Section 13(1) in The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Act, 1989
(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall be the principal executive and academic officer of the University, and shall exercise general supervision and control over the affairs of the University and give effect to the decision of all the authorities of the University. He shall, in the absence of the Chancellor, preside at the convocation of the University for conferring degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions. The Vice-Chancellor shall be the ex-officio Chairman of the Executive Council, the Academic Council, Planning and Evaluation (Monitoring) Board and Finance Committee.
