(1)If the interest of any recorded proprietors who is entitled to claim partition is an undivided share in an estate held in common tenancy he shall be entitled to have assigned to him as his separate estate land of which the assets shall bear the same proportion to the assets of the parent estate as his undivided share in the parent estate bears to the entire parent estate.
