Section 12 in The U.P. Industries Department Class IV Service Rules, 1974
12. Marital status.
- A male candidate who has more than one wife living or a female candidate who married a man already having a wife living shall not be eligible for recruitment to the Service.Provided that the Governor may, if satisfied that there exist special grounds for doing so, exempt any person from the operation of this rule.
