FACTS
Heard today dated 10.01.2013. Appellant present. The public authority is represented by Shri P.M. Johri, Chief GM(CPIO).
2. The matter, in short, is that the appellant is an employee of GSL, Goa. He had appeared in an examination conducted by GSL for promotion to the rank of Junior Manager in May 2012. He, however, did not make the grade. In this connection, vide RTI application dated 08.06.2012, he had sought copy of his own evaluated answer script as also the answer scripts of other examinees and the marks awarded to them etc.
3. The CPIO had supplied him a copy of his own evaluated answer script but had refused to supply answer scripts of other examinees. The first appeal filed by the appellant was disposed by AA vide order dated 06.08.2012.
4. Dis-satisfied with the above order, the appellant has filed the present appeal.
5. I have heard the parties and perused the relevant records. It is explained to the appellant that he is not entitled to the evaluated answer scripts of other examinees as per the Supreme Court ruling in Aditya Bandopadhyaya case. However, he is entitled to have marks awarded to the co-examinees in the written papers as also in the interview. The CPIO is, therefore, directed to provide the above information to the appellant, free of cost, in 03 weeks.
