Section 9 in The Madhya Bharat Abolition of Jagirs Rules

9.

(1)If the jagirdar or the person entitled to receive the amount out of the compensation does not appear to receive the compensation on the due date, and, if he applies in writing that the amount may be remitted to him by money order, it may be drawn by A.C. Bill and remitted by money order less money order commission. The Money order receipt shall be attached with the detailed contingent bill. If a money order is returned unpaid, the amount shall be kept in revenue Deposit.
(2)If the jagirdar or the person entitled to get compensation does not appear to receive the amount personally, but gives and authority letter in favour of any other person, and applies in writing that the amount may be paid to the person producing the authority letter, the amount shall be paid to such person on proper identification. The receipt of the original payee and of the person producing the authority letter shall be obtained as per rule of the Subsidiary Treasury Rules.
(3)The amount may also be remitted to the payee through a recognised bank, if he so desires.
(4)If the person entitled to payment does not appear to receive the amount of refuses to accept the amount within six months from the date fixed for payment, or by the 15th March of any year, if this period from the date of payment and 15th March is less than six months, the amount shall be placed in revenue deposit.
