Section 30(2) in The Merchant Shipping (Cargo Ship Construction And Survey) Rules, 1974
(2)In every ship, machinery driving-forced and induced draught fans, oil fuel transfer pumps, oil fuel pumps and other similar fuel pumps shall be fitted with remote controls situated outside the spaces in which machinery or pumps are situated. Such controls shall be capable of stopping such machinery or pumps in the event of fire in the said spaces.
