Section 20(vii) in Presidency University Act, 2010
(vii)to recommend to the Court, after consulting the respective Faculty Councils for Post-Graduate and Undergraduate Studies, the creation and institution of Professorships including Distinguished Professorship or Chair Professorship or Adjunct Professorship, Associate Professorship, Assistant Professorship and posts as may be necessary for the establishment of the University Departments, Schools, Centres, and any such institutions, libraries, laboratories and museums referred to in clause (i) of sub-section (1) of section 17;
