Section 14(2) in Bihar Government Servant's Conduct Rules, 1976
(2)On occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, funerals, and religious functions, when the making of a gift is in conformity with the prevailing religious or social practice, a Government servant may accept gift from his near relative but he shall make a report to the Government the value of any such gift exceeds Rs. 500.
