Section 2(11) in The Bihar (Coal Mining) Area Development Authority Act, 1986
(11)'Local Authority' means any Municipal Corporation or Local body constituted under the Bihar and Orissa Municipal Act, 1922 (B. and O. Act VII of 1922) or Panchayat established under the Bihar Panchayati Raj Act, 1948 (Bihar Act VII of 1948) or any such local body constituted in any area to which this Act applied;
