27. Director of Research and Dean of Post-graduate Studies.
(1)The Director of Research and Dean of post-graduate studies shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the prior approval of the Board.(2)The qualifications, emoluments and the terms and conditions of service of the Director shall be such as may be prescribed.(3)He Shall be responsible for the direction and co-ordination of Post-graduate studies and research programmes in the University as laid down in section 33 and efficient working of research Stations.(4)The Director shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed.(5)The Director shall also perform such other duties as may be assigned to him from time to time, by the Vice-Chancellor.
