Instant writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent-authority to release electricity connection to the petitioner without any further delay.

In pursuance of notice of motion, respondents have filed written statement, same is taken on record. It is averred in the reply that cause of the petitioner is pre-mature as he has never approached the respondents for electricity connection nor has filled up requisite forms. Therefore, present writ petition is liable to be dismissed.

In view of the reply filed by respondent, writ petition is liable to be dismissed. However, since similarly situated persons have been RAVINDER SINGH 2015.08.31 09:10 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document -2- CWP No.6456 of 2015 given electricity connection, if petitioner applies for connection in a proper form, same shall be considered in accordance with law expeditiously.
